Privacy Policy
SQL Designer ("we", "us", or "our") operates sql-designer.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
- Account data: When you register, we collect your email address and, if you sign in via OAuth (Google, GitHub, GitLab), your name and profile picture from that provider.
- Diagram data: The database schemas you create and save are stored on our servers and associated with your account.
- Usage data: We collect anonymised analytics (page views, feature usage) via Google Analytics to understand how the product is used.
- Local storage: Your authentication token is stored in your browser's
localStorageso you stay logged in across sessions.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the SQL Designer service.
- To send transactional emails (email verification, account-related notices).
- To analyse product usage and fix bugs.
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Shared Diagrams
If you choose to share a diagram via a public share link, anyone with that link can view it. You can revoke access at any time from within the diagram editor.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and diagram data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us at dmitriy@sql-designer.com.
5. Third-Party Services
- Google Analytics: Anonymised usage tracking. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- OAuth providers: Google, GitHub, and GitLab if you choose to sign in with them.
6. Cookies
We do not set tracking cookies ourselves. Google Analytics may set its own cookies subject to Google's policies. We use localStorage (not cookies) for authentication.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Children
SQL Designer is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
